Spring is on the way

Spring is a great time of year to fertilize both your lawns and gardens not only to maximise the spring growth but to help strengthen your gardens and lawns prior to the summer time. A good all round garden fertilizer and lawn fertilizer will do the job.

Maintain and prune your hedges and other shrubs, taking time to reduce and reshape if required.

Be mindful of weeds within lawn areas, an application of a selective weed herbicide or even simply hand pulling the weeds out by hand will help keep your lawns strong and stop them from having to compete with the weeds.

It is time to take care of weed eradication from garden beds. An application of mulch will help hold the moisture that has fallen over the winter period. This will also help suppress weeds and is aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

Keep an eye out for aphids and thrips on your new spring growth, particularly your roses. Applying Eco Oil and Eco Neem will help to fix this problem.

Spring is a great time of year in the garden as all the new growth appears after the winter and usually there is an abundance of flowers to be found whether it is on your ornamental trees and shrubs, your roses or some lovely spring flowering bulbs. It can be a busy time of year, but one which should be enjoyed as the onset of the warmer weather is upon us.
