The Welcome Garden – Presented by Scotts
Designed by Jason Hodges & Breana Graham Landscape Architecture
Constructed by Semken Landscaping
This garden has been designed to be a beautiful space for gathering, relaxing and revitalising. The style nods to an older manner of garden with more soft landscaping than hard and a focus on utilising plant life for shade, surfaces and interest, but with a modern and more minimalist focus than one might find in the past.
To keep the garden feeling contemporary there has been the use of mass planting on a large scale, repetition of species and utilising topiary balls and hedges along with trees as the main sculptural elements and focus pull.
Furniture has been kept to the minimum and in muted colours to allow the garden to shine but the pieces that have been utilised have been chosen for comfort to allow the users of the garden to just sit and reflect on the space and enjoy it.
